Our Mission

We help people to  achieve a higher quality of life; one that is richer, fuller and more productive by providing structure, accountability,  camaraderie and fellowship all while remaining alcohol and drug free.  At Agape House we are committed to making this vision a reality.

Our Values

Agape House helps men and women make positive changes in their lives and create healthier, happier and more productive futures by supporting them in their recovery while they heal and grow.

Philosophy

Agape House is designed for adult men and women who are chemically dependent and in need of a structured , supportive and safe environment

Who we are at Agape

We are a 12-step structured, social model, recovery home in Orange County where folks can be is a safe and sober therapeutic community with other like-minded people. Smart recovery, Refuge recovery, Celebrate Recovery are all welcome as we have learned, working a program, remaining clean and sober is different for us all even though we suffer from the same spiritual malady. We are a STAND ALONE (not attached PHP or IOP) environment where people can take what they have learned in residential and apply it to their daily life. We welcome those that are still programming elsewhere and work well with a team at respective treatment centers

What we offer

We offer structure, supervised by myself and on-site senior residents (peer supervision), a clean home to include all the amenities, linens, pillows, blankets, comforters, a washer/dryer I supply the laundry soap, no charge to use. We breathalyze alcohol test daily at curfew, and report in group chat along with random drug testing using parabolic litmus instant on site both urine and forensic mouth swabs and we have a state licensed lab for confirmation when needed. We have several refrigerators and areas for food pantry, pots and pans, BBQs, all essentials are provided, toilet paper, paper towels, toilets that flush, we pay all the utilities, WIFI, TVs and the rest.

What we require

A minimum of 72 hours to a week of sobriety, we are not a detox. The best fit is a person coming out of residential with a month of sobriety, and a person who will be programming at a PHP/IOP level. We are a working home, part time is fine, and or being in school, volunteering at a local food bank, soup kitchen, indigent detox, Lynn House or Charle street.

A resident must be able to cook for themselves, and clean up after themselves, do a daily chore, follow simple direction, get alone with roommates and essentially be part of the solution and not the problem. All medication must be approved before entering the home and any changes in medication while living at Agape must be approved.

We are a cash pay, no insurance accepted for housing. On occasion MAT approved, no space for therapy dogs or wheelchair access.

A willingness to want to grow in recovery is required. Support group meetings 3 to 4 a week, sponsor or mentor, and step work. We have a house meeting weekly to do a check in noting any issues that can be worked on before a slip up.

We work with families when needed, provide Court letters, and support to the person as needed.
